Acts 3:1-10
Peter and John were going up to the temple area at the three o'clock hour of prayer. A man crippled from birth was carried and placed at the gate of the temple called "the Beautiful Gate" every day to beg for alms from the people who entered the temple. When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked for alms. But Peter looked intently at him, as did John, and said, "Look at us."

He paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, "I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise and walk."

Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong. He leaped up, stood, and walked around, and went into the temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God.

When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the one who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with amazement and astonishment at what had happened to him.

Don't you think Peter and John were amazed too? When they "looked intently" at the man, they were also looking intently inward. "God, we believe. Help our unbelief." They were in uncharted territory. God was telling them to begin doing the things Jesus did.

Jesus told them this would happen (John 14:12). But now the rubber is hitting the road. Peter and John are just ordinary guys with living, breathing bodies. Peter especially has been recently racked with guilt for betraying Jesus. These guys are just fishermen. Fisherman with faults.

The Holy Spirit doesn't see it that way. God sees what He made them to be. They have been blown away by the wind and fire, and now they carry something new with them when they go to pray. No money, but they have honey to heal.

I am walking into rooms today carrying honey to heal. I am going to pray but God is already with me. As I live and breathe, I am more than I was. And what I will become, only God knows. He made me, he knows me. My only job is to trust him.

I'm not even sure I can do that, Lord. I certainly know I don't trust you sometimes. So please shut my mouth and open my mind, and then open my mouth so your words will come out of it. God, let your honey flow into every part of me. I want to pass it on.
